Record Breaking Attendance

ADISA welcomed a record-breaking number of attendees, totaling more than 1,100 industry professionals representing more than 400 companies, to its 2023 Annual Conference & Trade Show, October 9-11.

The educational sessions at this three-day event included industry updates, legislative and regulatory updates, Chat GPT, navigating real estate cash flow, distribution policies, and more.

Thank you to the nearly 100 exhibitors and sponsors at this year's conference.

Award Winners

ADISA was pleased to announce and congratulate the winners of our 2023 A Champion of Excellence (ACE), Distinguished Service and President’s awards. The awards were presented during the welcoming ceremony.

The association’s highest honor, the ACE Award, is bestowed to an ADISA member who has not only reached a pinnacle in their personal career but has also brought credit to themselves and ADISA through additional distinguished works. The 2023 ACE Award was presented to John Harrison, executive director of ADISA.

The Distinguished Service Award is presented to individuals and companies who have provided exceptional service to ADISA, the alternative investments industry and the overall community. This award was presented to David Pittman, ADISA board member and senior vice president, capital markets, Southeast, of Cottonwood Residential.

Matthew Iak, ADISA board member and executive vice president of U.S. Energy Development Corporation, received the President’s Award. The award is given to an individual or organization that has made outstanding contributions in their chosen field, either by service in local, state, or national affairs, or in support of the advancement and continued excellence of ADISA.


General Sessions

The conference kicked off with the Women's Initiative & Next Generation Reception & Luncheon, led by featured speaker Kerri Walsh Jennings, the world’s most decorated professional female beach volleyball player.

 

Keynote speaker Barbara Corcoran, author of best seller “Shark Tales: How I Turned $1,000 into a Billion Dollar Business!” and host of leading business podcast “Business Unusual with Barbara Corcoran,” wrapped up Tuesday's conference with inspirational messages showcasing how individuals can build the largest and best-known brand in the business.
